Did you know that Occupational Therapy is one of the most underutilized benefits that people have either through a private insurance carrier or through Medicare? Many people do not realize the many ways that they can benefit from Occupational Therapy!
What can Occupational Therapy do for me?
Provide education and recommendations to maximize you or a loved one’s ability to remain independent at home including home modifications.
Educate in adaptive equipment for dressing, bathing, eating, toileting, joint protection due to arthritis, and a wide variety of hobby and sport adaptations.
Assess and treat painful conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand including splinting.
Assess and treat functional deficits following a stroke or diagnosis of other neurological impairments including multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and spinal cord injury.
Educate and provide training and recommendations for those with low vision.
The list goes on and on!
