Did you know that the outpatient therapists at the Wellness Center have a wide range of specialized skills to help you manage pain? Many people who have pain wait months and even years without seeking help. They hope that it will go away on its own or think “it’s just hard getting old!” Pain can decrease your energy level, interfere with sleep, affect your mood, and prevent you from doing the things you enjoy. Physical and occupational therapy are safe and effective treatment options for pain. Your therapist will perform a compete assessment to identify the root cause of your pain and develop with you a comprehensive treatment plan to meet your goals. Our therapists have advanced education in chronic pain management, manual therapy, aquatic therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, and exercise prescription. If you’ve tried other therapy without success, don’t give up! Ask your doctor for a prescription for physical or occupational therapy at the Wellness Center!
